The Maze of Death is a really beautiful book of Philip K. Dick, where sci-fi meets thriller. This book keeps the reader in suspense until a surprising end.
13 people, wanting to change their job, are assigned to a mission on a planet Delmak-0. They won’t know their job until then all of them will have arrived on the planet. All must arrive aboard of a noser, a space-ship able to do only one-way trips. When finally they start to hear the recordered message containing the instructions for their mission, the connection is interrupted and the message deleted. Things are organized in such a way that they have no way to establish any other connection. Strange things start to happen on this strange planet, including a lot of unexplicated murders. People starts to inquire…and they will find out something you don’t expect.
